Dear Crew Members;
2005 was good fun, good experience for about 50 crew on board during the season. Important deck hardware was not installed, winds were stronger than usual, sails are from 1979. Thanks to 2005's crew who gave it a good try. Results at the February 2006 Mid-Winter Regatta show that we can win when sailed with good crew (and Skipper). Gary had the boat in first place at F mark, lost it to technical failure of the spinnaker sheet shackle, gain it back again to be in first at T mark.
2006 we'll be racing in all of the King Harbor Yacht Club Thursday Twilight races, the Spinnaker Series and, some out of area races. Please check the KHYC Race Calendar web site during the season for dates and information. 2006 we're starting off with a much better equipped yacht. Most of the deck hardware is installed, new running rigging, genoa tracks, new traveler, etc.
2006 we've already done the DRYC Malibu Race with local guest skipper Don Souther (No Way). And, the Mid-Winter Regatta with Skip Winterbottom from Hawai'i (Desparado).
